I developed wireless DMX hardware using an ESP32 to control wearable lights in costumes for dancers at Sylfide’s Blåt lys album release and performance on January 18, 2025. The event combined Nordic folk dance with modern technology, featuring illuminated costumes that projected light patterns in a dark space. I also designed the rest of the general live lighting for the event during the performance, ensuring seamless integration with the wearable lights. The performance included audience participation, allowing attendees to join the dancers on the floor and creating an interactive experience. The wearable lights played a central role in merging tradition with modern elements, enhancing the performance through light and movement.

This project features an old modified CRT television with a built-in ESP32 microcontroller. The ESP32 creates a Wi-Fi access point that can be accessed via a smartphone. Through this wireless connection, the text displayed on the TV can be customized as needed. The project was developed as a creative way to display textual information at the music venue Türkis in Aarhus, Denmark. The CRT colors have been adjusted to a turquoise tint, matching the venue’s aesthetic.

The web interface for the TV is simple, consisting of a text field and an “Update” button. Text is formatted by using specific character combinations, such as “(t)” to insert a bitmap of the Türkis logo and “###” to create larger text, similar to Markdown styling.

This project combined two objectives. The first was to create an ATtiny85-based sampler that plays small random sections of a chirp sample, designed for use in a modular system. This is useful for rhythmic synth percussion or sound effects. The second part of the project involved designing a PCB that accommodates all components on one side of the board, with holes for mounting the panel in a Eurorack modular system, integrating both the PCB and front panel.

I performed as Vj (Video Jockey) for electro-punk band, Kælertag, at Klubscenen, during SPOT Festival, Aarhus. The 6th of May 2023.

I have experimented with the Casio SA-20, by reducing the power-supply voltage from 7.5V down to 4.1V. at this voltage the instrument starts to sound strange and become very glitcy. The keyboard makes random noises in a way that seems like internal datalines are being filled with errors resulting in wrong serial messages, hence the random sounds. It is still keeping up rythms very nicely though, so i have recorded some of the rythm/accompaniments from it, and uploaded them at freesound.org.

This artwork is a old wooden, golden frame. I replaced the glass with chicken fence and plastic. The plastic has been heated so it is slightly melted. Underneath the plastic is mounted leaves on boards with LEDs underneath. The LEDs under the leaves glows in different colours while LEDs underneath the mounted leaves flicker on and off like fluorescent lights. The very back of the artwork is an old wooden plate with wallpaper still on it. A mixture of dirt and wallpaper paste has been smeared over the backwall. The whole piece glows and flickers randomly while seeming somewhat alive.

The piece was displayed at Output Festival 5, October 2021 together with other works.

The program measures the time between each pulse input, and outputs a repeating pulse with an interval defined by the variable ‘mult’. There are 3 more inputs/outputs avalible if using and ATTiny85 these are currently used for changing mult, but could be replaced by an potentiometer for a wider range of tempos.

This is a sequencer made for controlling modular systems. It has 8 knobs controlling the time/length of each step and 8 knobs controlling the CV output for each step, generating interesting rhythmic patterns. The sequencer has a random mode, start/stop, two time-multipliers and a slide switch.

This is a modular synthesizer build with focus on noise music or non-musical purpose. Using different effects, filters distortion etc. weird noise can be generated through feedback loops or external input.

This is a video synthsizer cable of synthesizing a VGA signal. The instrument/tool is based on a VGA-test module, with its VGA-output broken into multiple signals. The signals can be patched through different other modules such as a clock divider etc. The insturment can be used for VJ’ing og just pure fun.

The Testing module breaks out into each color-channel, horizontal and vertical -video sync. The picture coming from the tester can be changed using a gate signal trough an external mini jack.

The circuit for this projects is very simple. 12 schmitt-trigger oscillators are all connected to different copper-pads, which line up with copper-pads going to the output-mix. When both copper-pads are touched by skin or other conductive material, the singal goes though to the mix and the sound can be heard.

Since the mixer has a lot of unconnected parts when not touching anything a lot of noise i coming out of the amp (i used a LM386, maybe a less noisy application?).
I tried putting a capacitor on the mixed signals, this seems to be making the signal sort of weak but more soft and less noisy.
